Jack Beeless and Jillian Beemore are an artistic couple trying to balance their public and private lives. Jillian is a former actress from the United States, and Jack is a Dutch director/filmmaker who hasn’t made a film in years. To help Jack overcome his artistic impasse, the couple decided to go on a cultural journey, to visit the great monuments and grand museums of the world, starting in Europe, naturally.
There is only one catch Jillian, who hasn’t quite been herself since her last motion picture, suffers from ‘Stendhal Syndrome’, which causes her to lose control of her bodily functions. Whenever she visits a museum or monument, overtaken by the beauty of it all, she cannot refrain from relieving herself on the spot. She refers to her condition as ‘Pissing Art’, which is in her own words: ‘the purest, most sublime experience of beauty ever.’ Being able to let go completely is her personal way of expressing her deepest emotion, as in the pregnant moment of a painting; Jillian emerges completely with her environment. In that blissful moment, her actions convey the intensity of her experience.
Jack is always there to protect her; under his watchful eye Jillian is always safe.
Jack & Jillian have visited the Flemish Arts Centre 'De Brakke Grond' in Amsterdam, on Museum Night 2012.
De Brakke grond offers the most significant developments in contemporary art productions from Flanders, including visual art, literature, dance and theatre, music, performance, film and new media. The emphasis is on innovation,
cross-over, interdisciplinarity, and artistic guts.

Jack Beeless and Jillian Beemore zijn een artistiek echtpaar op zoek naar de ideale balans tussen hun publieke en privé leven. Jillian is een oud-actrice uit de Verenigde Staten en Jack is filmmaker en regisseur. Zij hebben elkaar ooit , in een ver verleden, op een filmset ontmoet. Jack is sinds zijn laatste film met Jillian vastgelopen in zijn werk.
Om uit zijn impasse te komen besluiten zij samen op reis te gaan. Hopelijk, raakt Jack net zo geïnspireerd als Jillian, die vaak zo geëmotioneerd is, dat zij de controle verliest over haar lichaamsfuncties. Jillian lijdt aan het Stendhal-syndroom, een psychische aandoening die optreedt als iemand volledig overrompeld wordt door de schoonheid van kunst. In een moment van volledige overgave, toont Jillian haar diepste emoties. De trans waarin zij op dat moment verkeert, heeft zij Pissing Art, benoemt. Een extatische beleving, die de intensiteit van haar ervaring uitdraagt.
Gelukkig, is Jack daar om haar te beschermen. Onder zijn toeziend oog heeft Jillian niets te vrezen.
Jack & Jillian hebben op Museumnacht 2012 in Amsterdam, een bezoek gebracht aan het Vlaams- Nederlands Cultuurhuis de Brakke grond.
